 Adar Gandelsman (Hebrew Adr gndlsmn) is an Israeli beauty pageant titleholder and model. She was Miss Israel's first place runner-up . She also took home the title Miss Universe Israel 2017. Adar was a contestant at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. She did not finish in the top ten. Gandelsman and Miss Universe Iraq Sarah Idan took a selfie together at the pageant. In December of 2017, Idan and her family fled Iraq in protest at the Iraqi citizens over her pose to take a photo with Miss Israel who had also been a member of the Israel Defense Forces at the time, Gandelsman was born in Ashkelon, Israel, and is the daughter of Ashkenazi Jewish parents who immigrated to Israel from Brazil in 1992.
