Jessica Marie Alba is an American actress and businesswoman. Her first television and movie roles came at the age of 13 in Camp Nowhere (1994), and The Secret World of Alex Mack (1994). She rose to prominence in the role of lead actress of Dark Angel (192000-2002), for whom she was nominated for the Golden Globes. Honey (2003) was her most successful screen debut. She soon became a Hollywood actress, and has appeared in a variety of films that have made the box office a roaring success throughout her career, including Fantastic Four (2005), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), Good Luck Chuck (2007), The Eye (2008), Valentine's Day (2010), Little Fockers (2010) as well as Mechanic: Resurrection (2016). The father of her Air Force career took the family to Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas, before returning to Claremont, California, when she was just nine years old. Alba said that her family was "very conservative" - an old-fashioned Catholic, Latin American, Catholic family. Alba also describes herself as liberal. When she was five, she claimed she was feminist.
