Ronny Chieng

Watters had mocked the Chinese residents and conducted respectful interviews in Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese. The viral video garnered attention in Slate and Washington Post. In his early years, Chieng was an Singapore Sea Scout. While he's been in Australia for a decade, he does not have citizenship or permanent residence status in Australia. In the year 2018 Chieng claimed he was cynophobic on the Daily Show, but later clarified in an interview that he was "100 per cent not scared of dogs".
