Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress and comedian, as well as activist) is a comedian. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actor just after emigrating to United States. The appearances she made as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials between 2013 and 2016 - and since 2020 - earned her acclaim. She was a regular host on Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and was a regular in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl for Marvel Rising in 2018 following her casting in the pilot television series for New Warriors. Vayntrub is an Jewish person, was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. At the age of two she left with her parents to U.S. to escape antisemitism. She settled in West Hollywood. She started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five because of the financial difficulties of her family. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. In her sophomore year she quit and obtained a GED. She continued, however, to obtain an undergraduate degree in Arts Communication from University of California San Diego. She studied improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
